Airliner
Safety Statistics
The
fatal events of airliners have been graded
with respect to the number of accidents
that the airline has flown since 1970. These
statistics should be correct as of the 1st
of January 2001. I personally take no responsibility
for any errors made either by typo's or
from the sources of information (Air Safety
Online & AirSafe).
For
each airline, the number of fatal events
was divided by the estimated number of flights
to determine the estimated fatal event rate.
The estimated total flights for each airline
are for the period 1970 to present.
It is important to note that these tables
only document the facts and is in no way
an attempt to divert buisiness away from
any airline. Any airline, regardless of
its safety record, is susceptible to experiencing
accidents.
